When we surveyed our members & setting up a local cinema club was one of the top priorities. Last year saw us commence movie screening in the Millenium Room of Cramond Kirk. This year we shall be running regular monthly movie nights, during Jan - April, showing a range of films whilst encouraging members to socialise and discuss what they have watched over drinks, snacks and some popcorn. The film club will be free to all Cramond Association members. Please fee free to bring friends & family (encourage them to join).
Thursday, January 23, 6:30 - 9pm, Cramond Kirk Hall, Millenium Room, 16 Cramond Glebe Road Cramond EH4 6NS
Join us for a movie night at Cramond Kirk Hall, Millenium Room! We'll be screening Ken Loach's drama The Old Oak (2023) - A special place, not only is it the last pub standing, but it’s also the only remaining public space where people can meet in a once thriving mining community that has now fallen on hard times after 30 years of decline. With the influx of Syrian refugees into the village, can they find a way for the two communities to understand each other? So unfolds a deeply moving drama about their fragilities and hopes. Don't miss out on this chance to enjoy a great movie with your community.
